What is Organic Isomaltitol?
Organic Isomaltitol is a low-calorie sweetener that has 50% less calories than sugar and does not cause tooth decay. It is suitable for diabetics and people who want to reduce their sugar intake. Organic Isomaltitol has a similar taste and texture to sugar, and can be used in various applications such as candy, chewing gum, chocolate, baked goods, and ice cream.
Composition and Production
Organic Isomaltitol is composed of two disaccharide alcohols: 1,6-GPS and 1,1-GPM. These are obtained by hydrogenation of organic maltose, which is extracted from organic sugar beet. Organic Isomaltitol is stable under high temperature and low humidity conditions, and does not absorb moisture or become sticky. It also has a low glycemic index and does not stimulate insulin secretion.
Certification and Compliance
Organic Isomaltitol is certified organic by the USDA and meets the standards of the EU Organic Regulation. It is also kosher and halal certified, and complies with the FCC, USP, and EP specifications. Organic Isomaltitol is non-GMO, gluten-free, allergen-free, and vegan.
